Where to Stargaze in the UAE
Compare stargazing in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and across the UAE. Choose a guide, check the horizon and conditions, and build a plan for your night.
Stargazing in Dubai
Start with the Moon, bright planets and the balcony observing guide. For a trip beyond the city, compare Al Qudra for checking skyglow in different directions and Hatta for mountain surroundings. Check local lamps and the visible horizon at your setup spot.
Stargazing in Abu Dhabi
The Moon and bright planets can also be rewarding from the city. For a desert Milky Way plan, compare Al Quaa and Liwa; use the Al Khatim guide to assess darkness, transparency and seeing. Confirm access and choose a moonless interval with a clear southern view.
The five featured locations below have forecast and planning links. The additional guides further down cover Al Qudra, Wadi Shawka and Al Khatim; those three are not separate forecast points in the night planner.
Abu Dhabi · open desert

More location guides
Plan a session at Al Qudra, Wadi Shawka or Al Khatim. These guides cover target choice, sky assessment and access planning; they are not additional forecast points in the night planner.
Al Qudra
Al Qudra: compare skyglow in three directions and choose an achievable first target near Dubai.
Wadi Shawka
Wadi Shawka: check how a mountain horizon changes your Milky Way plan before setting up.
Al Khatim
Al Khatim: separate darkness, transparency and seeing, then keep a useful observing record.
The right place changes with the night
A remote location can still have dust, moonlight and cloud; mountains can hide low targets. Check access and parking separately. These guides do not certify permanent darkness or rank sites using Skydust field measurements.
Turn a good place into a useful record
After a visit, share a repeatable sky-brightness reading with its time and conditions. Together, observations can show how the sky changes between locations and across the seasons.
